Since the collapse of communism, poverty has worsened for the Roma. Eventually, many orphaned and neglected children find their way into small villages and slums. Our local partners in Romania have realised that vulnerable families and children in rural areas need special attention. The aim is to meet the needs of these families for tutoring programmes, humanitarian aid and medical care. In this assignment, you will work hands-on and renovate the building of the children's and health centre for people in need. Another team of doctors and nurses will provide free medical treatment on site. Everyone is welcome, especially tradespeople and medical staff, but there is something for everyone to do and help out with.
